I know I should be excited about Franz Ferdinand playing this Thursday, but I've been so busy, I can't even look forward to it. Now I wonder how I should plan my timings for this Thursday so I can "enjoy" the gig.
Sigh.
I realised I can actually learn plenty from my editor just by hanging around and watching him work. But sometimes, he does it so fast, I wonder what he actually clicks to create certain effects. The school machines should be collected by the garang guni. They are almost half my age, they render at EXTREMELY slow speeds beyond anything you thought was slow, and crashes once in a while. Now tell me, how will these old antiques help students who will come out immediately to the industry for work if these crap don't meet standards in the market? And all the crap about making quality films. Tsk tsk.
The 35mm camera is close to my dad's age, which is about 50 odd years... Or it could be even older. Yes. Don't be shocked. Stuff in my school are really quite old. But one good thing about old cameras are, they give you the look from that era it got made. I wonder if they still sell hand cranked film cams.. Would be interesting to own one. Or an 8mm cam.
Bunked in morphyB's for the fine tuning of music for 'Regrets'. ITS SO COOL. I know I sound a bit exaggerated, but I would love to own a room like his, though it's a bit cramped. Reason it being cramped is mainly due to the overloading of equipment! I want his speakers, LCD TV (as a monitor output for his PC!), his recording facilities, his synth keyboard, his loads of CDs... And the list goes on. The only one thing I would want that he doesn't have... Is a sound proof facility. I think it would make it perfect. The final touch to make it all closer to heaven. Of course, 5.1 speakers would be good to have, and a film projecter. Ok. I'm getting overboard.
I really like to take this oppurtinity with this post, to thank all my friends who helped some way or another in creating this short film. Even insignificant things like a contact, a ride home, advice, ideas, love, or even for just being available to help in anyway. I love all my friends! (Even those who didn't know how to help. Haha)
I will definately find the time to meet up with all of you whom I've not seen ever since I got into the abyss. My MIA will be over soon! Bring on the beer!
Sigh.
