School's here! Already the first week, and they already let us in on what's to come.. Assignments, assignments, assignments. Sounds like this semester is scarier than the last one. But on the bright side, I'll be shooting slide stills for a cinematography assignment, and the films covered in asian cinema are all interesting. No more french new wave and the likes of it. Goodbye neorealism! Welcome the crouching tiger, and the hidden dragon! Hello Kurosawa! Getting prep-ed up slowly for our 16mm project is really getting me all excited. Can't wait to shoot. The script sounds interesting, and I hope to see the 1st draft soon so that I can prepare myself visually in my head what to expect.
I'm thinking of sending in some photos for this photography competition in NTU. The 1st prize is a nikon D50. I want a DSLR. It will help my eye in how I look at stuff. It will also help plenty in how I grasp light and how to use it to my own use efficiently. But a DSLR is so expensive! Even with the incoming pay, which I hope does come soon, I wouldn't afford it. Furthermore, I have to finance the coming short film soon. When can I actually afford one?
I do hope I get more jobs during my free time, if I get any. Jobs mean money, and experiance. Both equally important to me right now. I should follow what yap say, career first, romance later. So stop thinking, edwin. Sigh.
